Description: Part of a jug with a falling off shoulder and a short, concave vaulted neck with an outwardly pulled rim. The wall is of wrought sheet bronze. The handle is casted and incised in cold work. The edge of the estuary has a u-formed section, where the handle arms are fitted in with three strong studs. The bulgy arms follow the form of the rim and end in two stylized animal heads. The end of the notched handles lead to an applique with hanging volute-palmettes, above on each side a snake head. The finale, which protrudes over the edge of the estuary, forms a lion head. The flat part on top of it served for placing the thumb while pouring out.
