Condition: An ancient wear on the front of the feet, otherwise intact.

Description: Very rare and highly important alabaster ushabti of an overseer. The mummy-form body with a wig and crossed arms wears a typical triangular, long and two layered kilt. The seam of the undergarment is ribbed. In his hands the overseer possibly holds agricultural tools, painted in black color. Remains of the black paint on the face, on the wig as well as on the garment are still preserved. Overseer ushabtis were responsible for the coordination of the general worker ushabtis. A complete set of ushabtis consisted of 365 workers, one for each day of the year and 36 overseers. A highly important example from a royal tomb from the Ramessid period. Mounted.
