Condition: Attributes possibly already lost in ancient times, otherwise intact and of excellent quality.

Description: Very exquisite early bronze figure of an Elamite worshipper. The finely worked out face tapered downwards, the almond-shaped eyes framed by thick lids. Ears and mouth also prominently accentuated. The worshipper wears a tight vestment with a broad belt, the thin, long arms are stretched out sideways and once held, possibly already lost in ancient times, votive offerings. The legs are almost parallel, toes and fingers are notched in cold work. See for reference a figure with the same size and similar features: Christie’s auction London on 26 April 2012, lot 105.
