Condition: Left leg reattached. Body assembled with minimal additions. The figure stands by itself.

Description: Large and rare terracotta rhyton of a standing bird, possibly a goose. The animal with a massive, strong upper body with a raised tail. Instead of feathers a large, round pouring hole. The bird stands on two strong legs with four toes spread out in all directions. The round head is slightly raised to the right and sits on a thick, cylindrical neck. The beak is open and tapering. A fine spout in between. The eyes are circularly applied and pierced with a sharp item. A rare, very witty form of a zoomorphic Amlash rython.
