Provenance: Viennese collection Zweymüller, acquired in the 1970s. Thence in the collection Stefan Horn.

Condition: Intact. On one side the color is very slightly worn.

Description: Large, polychrome painted terracotta vase with two cylindrical spouts, a bulbous body and a flattened base. Between the two spouts a high, arch-formed handle, which is formed by two thick rods with round cross-section, which meet on the upper part. The spouts are in red color inside, one with a sieve on the rim, the other one with a sieve in the neck. The entire vessel is painted with brown, red and pink color. On the spouts wave decoration, bands and chains. On the shoulder a red band, below wave decoration. On the transition to the body a curved, broad grid decoration which is framed on top by a pink band and at the bottom by two parallel lines. Below stylized water birds and a broad red band. The end is formed by an encircling chain, lines, as well as at the very bottom painted stars and spirals.
