Provenance: Private collection H. S., Vienna. Acquired from the parents of the last owner in 2000 at the Viennese art market. Accompanied by a copy of handover from the parents to their son.

Description: A nude satyr running to left with his head in opposite direction, holding a column-krater in his right hand and a burning torch in his left. He wears a fillet. On the neck oft he vase a dotted ovolo band, on the reverse large scrolling palmettes. Left and right of the satyr tendrils. Light encrustation, but intact with fantastic painting of the satyr.
