Condition: One lionhead with punctures in the cheek, otherwise of excellent quality.
Description: Worked out in high-quality, very sculptural bronze lionhead protomes once decorating a wagon axis. The lions with towering manes, also cascading in broad tufts sideways over the jaws. The ears raised, the mouths open. The eyes vigilant and threatening with blinking lids, the pupils punched in cold work. Behind the heads a massive extension with perforations for suspension on the axle. Mounted.
