Description: Magnificent, large solid bronze fibula of the Sanguisuga type. The description derives from the form of the arched bow, thickened in the central part, reminding of a leech. The heavy, quite intricately engraved bow merges at one end through a three coiled spring into the pin. At the other end an elongated, bent catch-plate. The decoration depicts broad spikes and lines, as well as engraved net decoration in between. Mounted.
