Provenance: French private collection due to the old mounting (pictures available) at least from the 1960s. Accompanied by a French antiquities passport.

Condition: Fragment of beautiful quality.

Description: Wonderfully sculptural antefix in form of an archaic woman's head. The face with almond-shaped, slightly protruding eyes, pointy nose and chin, as well as a smiling mouth with thick, red colored lips. The black hair falling in curls into the forehead and cascading symmetrically in three wavy rows along the sides of the face. The large ears are in front of her hair. With abundantly preserved red, ochre, brown and black paint.
