Provenance: Austrian private collection Prof. Josef Mairitsch (1938-1994) with inventory number 38. Acquired between 1960 and the early 1980s. Thence in the family estate. With an old collection note and copy of the inventory list.
Condition: A small missing part on the rim, as seen on the picture, otherwise wonderfully preserved.
Description: Exceedingly finely worked out, thin-walled terracotta indented beaker of the Grey Ware. The vessel stands on a slightly set off foot ring, which is surrounded by concentric circles. On the body three encircling decorative grooves. Above seven indentations of the same size and distance. Above again engraved decorative grooves. The rim is slightly bent outwards. From an Italic workshop.
