Description: Cup of light green faience depicting the cartouche of pharaoh Osorkon II. He was the fifth pharaoh of the 22nd dynasty and is famous for his buildings in Bubastis and Thebes. Under his reign the Assyrian threat increased for the Egyptian kingdom, but he was still able to rule for 29 years according to the latest research results.
