Condition: An old break in the front of the base as seen in the picture, otherwise complete without restauration. With old patina.
Description: The bearded Greek god of healing stands with his weight on his left foot, the right leg slightly bent forward. In his left hand holding the asklepian, the serpent-entwined rod. The right hand rests on a ledge. The thick hair is parted in the centre, a fillet holds the shock of hair back. On the bottom of the old wooden base a collection label reading: “Eschlape Gallo Romain Marbre 2-3 S APR. J. C.“
