Description: Large and particularly finely crafted solid bronze statuette of the mummy-shaped god Osiris with an atef crown, which is characterized by the Maat ostrich feathers on each side and the protruding ram's horns. On the back of the crown two bands cascade to the nape. The face with noble features and inlayed silver eyes. The forehead is adorned with the uraeus serpent, the royal cobra. On the chin hangs the braided false beard which is rolled forward at the bottom and decorated in cold work. From the mummy cover the crossed hands are protruding below the chest. In the left hand Osiris holds the crook, its end reaches to the leg. In the right hand he holds the finely engraved flagellum. Both attributes are symbols of the absolute reign of the pharaohs. The statue stands on its rectangular original plinth with remains of the tenon at the bottom. Mounted on an old wood base.
