Condition: Except for minor wear on the rim intact.
Description: Large cylindrical vase of the Predynastic Marl Ware on a flat base. The rim is pulled outwards and rounded. The corpus is smooth, beneath the rim a string was impressed into the clay to create an encircling motive. The base is slightly curved outwards. The large vase served as a storage vessel. See for the typus the very similar vases in the Brooklyn Museum with the Accession Number 09.889.703, as well as in the Petrie Museum in London with the inventory number UC38161. On a foot ring.
