Description: Magnificent bronze bust of Minerva. The goddess wears a Corinthian helmet pushed back upon her head. In the front of the helmet the engraved face of a bearded warrior, on the sides two volutes. Minerva has parted the dense, under the helmet bulging hair in the middle. She has large, deeply set eyes with punched pupils and a delicate mouth with finely curved, thick lips. The goddess wears the aegis with the face of Medusa on her chest. The bust is framed at the bottom by a curved leaves band. Mounted.
