Condition: Pin is broken and repaired, some chips under the bow rim, otherwise intact.
Description: Magnificent, monumental bronze fibula with a broad arching bow, open at the bottom, reminding of a boat (Navicella fibula). The bow merges from one end from a spring section with three coils into the pin. At the other end an elongated catch-plate which is slightly bent in the middle. The decoration depicts punched concentrical circles and a central rectangle with a grid pattern. Mounted.
