Provenance: Old English private collection, acquired between 1970-1990. With a handwritten note by the Assyriologist Wilfried George Lambert.
Condition: Reassembled from five pieces, with small missing pieces, as seen on the photo.
Description: Exceptionally large cuneiform tablet, inscribed on both sides. The inscription is divided into four columns. According to the notes by the Assyriologist Wilfried George Lambert (1926-2011), who was able to inspect the tablet around 1990 the latest, the text is a lexical register of wood objects. The “dictionary” possibly served for educational purposes or as an inventory list. Mounted.
