Provenance: From the estate of Josef Strasser, Lannach, Styria, Austria. Acquired between 1960 and 1980.
Condition: Cracks on the rim and on the base, one side with heavier corrodation. Not restored.
Description: Small situla of bronze sheet with a corpus becoming slightly broader towards the top. The rim is slightly pulled outwards, underneath a slightly rounded fold. Above and under the fold rich incised decoration in cold work with dots, circles and lines. On the lower part of the vessel more incised decoration. The base is flat. The iron handle is attached on the sides with bronze rivets and today mainly corroded.
