Condition: Minor dents, otherwise intact.
Description: A pair of large, Hellenistic earrings with a crescent-shaped wire of shaped gold sheet, which is closed on top with a wrapped gold wire. At the front a drop-shaped setting with a dark red shimmering garnet. The rim of the setting with fine granulation. At the bottom of the wire a profiled, cylindrical extension with five gold beads hanging in grape-form. The beads are connected through granules bands. At the front another, small setting with a garnet-cabochon. The earrings are still wearable today. It is recommended to have modern pins custom made to avoid opening the ancient clasp.
