Provenance: Swiss private collection, acquired in the 1990s from the gallery Serodine in Ascona, Switzerland.
Condition: The back with incrustations, otherwise very beautifully preserved.
Description: Small, broad marble head of a so-called Kiliya- or Stargazer idol. The long, narrow nose reaches over more than half of the face, the eyes, also worked out in high relief, are on each side. On the flat outer sides of the head long pointy ears. A rare type. Mounted.
