Description: Exquisitely carved marble fragment of Venus, broken just below the breasts and above the knees. The abdomen with a highly set navel and fine curves. The weight of the goddess rests on the left standing leg stretched out, from a frontal view the female pelvis slightly turned to the right. The right thigh slightly raised, the free leg bent forward. Possibly a fragment of a standing Venus Anadyomene, once depicted wringing out her hair. Mounted.
