Description: A very delicately worked portrait of a young Roman patrician of fine crystalline marble. The round, slightly smaller-than-life size head has short, wavy hair which is also outstandingly worked out on the back. His mouth is slightly opened to form a gentle smile, his eyes looking softly under the thick lids. There are assumptions that this may be a portrait of Hermes. With French antique passport. Mounted.
