Condition: The surface is slightly rubbed in places, but intact.
Description: Very large, hand formed vase of reddish clay tapering towards the bottom. The rim is thickened and slightly pulled outside. Below and on the shoulder edge bead bands pressed into the clay. On the shoulder large and small painted red wave bands, symbolizing the Nile during flooding and low tide. A monumental vessel dating to Egypt’s pre-dynastic period. Mounted.
