Condition: The tip of the bottom worn, otherwise intact.
Description: Large transportation amphora of the so-called Rhodian type with large handles from the shoulder to the neck, tapering to the top until reaching the spout. The rim is rounded, the neck cylindrical. The elongated body broadens after the shoulder and tapers towards the bottom. Amphorae like the present one transported in particular wine from Rhode. Production sites are known in the Aegean region and in western Asia Minor. With opulent sea deposit. Mounted.
