Provenance: From the estate of the French art dealer Evrard de Rouvre (1923-1979). Thence in the possession of his daughter Isabelle and her husband Francois van den Broek. Last in a family estate.
Condition: The pin point is slightly corroded, otherwise intact.
Description: Massive bronze hair pin with a round section tapering downwards. The head forms a stylized bird with a long beak and neck, circular eyes and short feather tails. The body of the bird is vertically pierced for additional fixation or suspension.
