Provenance: From the collection of the renowned Italian diplomat Amedeo Guillet (1909-2010), who amongst others was also the Italian ambassador in Jordan. Acquired prior to 1975.
Condition: A small part of the lower rim missing, otherwise intact.
Description: Molded relief bowl, which can still be seen in the tradition of the Hellenistic Megarian cups. However, the set off, profiled ring foot attributes the present bowl as a Roman production. Finely drawn rib decoration on the spherical body, an encircling rib as an upper border. At the top a protruding rim edge.
