Description: Very expressive head with detailed features and finely carved beard. The hair parted in the center. Depicted is a bearded god, probably Asclepius or Jupiter. The back is flattened which indicates that the statue was once part of a high-quality relief. Old French collection label on the underside, dated 1886.
