Condition: Except for one missing knob intact.
Description: Harness ring of a Roman cart, as used in the Danube region. The saddle-shaped, strong bronze cast cascades on both sides to an openwork triangle form. On each end a decorative knob. On the sides semi-circular openings with flanking, notched drills. In the centre of the gabled saddle the dominating ring on a trapezoid, triple grooved base. On each side of the ring another knob. On each end of the saddle a ring eyelet with an applied knob. On the roughly smoothed bottom another, strong retaining ring.
