Condition: Professionally reassembled from a few pieces. A shard added on the rim, otherwise very beautifully preserved.
Description: Finely worked out kantharos with black-figure painting and details in red. The image area on the body depicts a panther en face flanked by two grazing deer. The panther with raised tail and muscular body. The necks of the animals on both sides coloured in red. The kantharos with raised handles with a place to rest the finger on the lower part. The drinking vessel stands on a set off foot ring. The body broadens towards the top, does a bent and runs cylindrically towards the rim. From a Boeotian workshop.
