Provenance: Basler private collection, acquired between 1970 and 1989.
Condition: The incense bowl reassembled, one volute broken and reattached, one missing. But the figure is intact and of excellent quality.
Description: Elaborately worked thymiaterion in form of a female bust, throning on a disc shaped foot. The female figure in straight posture, around her finely modelled face lush foliage, garlands and fruits. Her hair pulled back together in the back to a thick braid. Originating from her head is a wide incense bowl. The neck of the bowl with broad profiled rings. Large parts of paint in white, red, rose and brown are wonderfully preserved.
