Provenance: New York private collection, acquired prior to 1948. Since then in a family estate.
Condition: Except for some minor chips intact.
Description: A very rare amulet of turquoise faience with the ram head of god Khnum with a sun disk. The body is of the dwarf-like god Bes. The squatting figure carries on the back the dotted wings of Sokar. The black strands of a wig are cascading on the neck of the figure, which is seated on a rectangular plinth. On the back a small eyelet for suspension. See for reference of the rare type the amulet in the British Museum with the registration number 1887,0101.66.
