Provenance: Private collection Dr. J. B., Vienna. Acquired on 14 November 2001 at Dorotheum Wien, lot 111, where it was described as an ushabti from the Middle Kingdom. Prior in an old Austrian collection.
Condition: Intact
Description: Large mummiform limestone ushabti holding in its crossed arms tools for the field work. The figure wears a wig framing its round face, eyes, nose and mouth are worked out. On the back an engraved seed bag framed in red. Red and white color remains. Mounted.
