Provenance: Private collection Surgeon-General Dr. Josef Mayer-Riefenthaler, Vienna, Austria. Acquired in Cyprus in the 1960s, during his deployment as UN soldier.
Condition: A stable stress crack, but otherwise intact.
Description: Large kylix standing on a high base with broad rim. The vessel was used for wine consumption, held on the base. In- and outside with black and red-brown linear and geometric decoration. A very similar piece is in the Brooklyn Museum (accession number 22.21).
